Tribe is a growing family of believers who are multi-disciplined, cross-cultural friends gathering together to integrate their gifting and calling for worship. We use the African drum circle, Celtic melody and Gregorian chant as well as visual and performance arts, seeking oneness with the rhythms of silence, sound and a deep knowledge (what C.S. Lewis calls "the deeper magic") of the Word. We seek to hear Yahweh speak. Through the cross we witness God's love poured out in a desire to speak profoundly and powerfully through His people, thus reconciling all things made to Himself.

We meet on Sundays to worship together, both in an informal liturgical worship service incorporating music, prayer, teaching, and silence, and in the meal we share together afterward in the cafe once a month. We invite anyone and everyone to join us in worship. (Where We Are)

We also live out our faith in community in other ways:

A weekly Bible study group communing with God and one another through Scripture study, sharing, prayer, and art;

Monthly Prayer Vigils in which we spend additional time talking to and listening to God and one another in prayer;

Participating in worship art projects: The Stations of the Cross, Community Labyrinth, Prayer Wall, and other communal and individual art projects;

Leading Worship at worship, arts, and emergent church conventions, sharing our worship gifts with other churches and engaging in the continued conversations about the relationships between worship, arts, and liturgy in the Church;

Continued engagement in the Church catholic (universal), in ecumenical ties with other churches in Los Angeles, interfaith ties with other faith communities, and ties to our own larger body, the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC);

Bimonthly discussion sessions where we discuss important philosophical, theological, social, and interpersonal issues that affect us as a community; and

Monthly community meetings allowing us to come together and make important decisions about the direction of our tribe (everyone is encouraged to join us in these meetings, though only Tribe members can vote).
